DREAM INTERNSHIP

The Award

The Internship offered by the Arizona Dream Intern Program is a cooperative partnership with local corporations and businesses to provide:

  • Eight (8) week paid internship
  • Workforce readiness
  • Job skills development

Dream Interns receive $2,500 over the course of their employment period.

Eligibility

To be eligible to compete for the Arizona Dream Internship, an individual must:

  • Graduate from high school this academic year (between 12/1/11 and 8/31/12)
  • Earn a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.5
  • Plan to pursue an undergraduate degree at a public or private college or university (start date no later than 9/30/12)
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the ideals of great world leaders through participation and leadership in school and community activities

You must be a US resident to apply.

Internship Timeline

  • Application process closes at the end of April
  • Candidates may be asked to provide additional information
  • Selected Interns will be notified of their match with participating employers by the middle of May
  • Internships begin in early June and conclude at the end of July

Selection Process

Completing the Dream Intern application is the first step. NOTE: The 2012 application process closes at the end of April. To apply, visit www.azdreambuilder.org. All submitted applications will be reviewed. Applicants may be asked to provide additional documentation. A selection committee will meet to match ADBF Dream Interns and employers for the summer program.
